‘A Thriving European Batteries Ecosystem’:
RECHARGE to Host Landmark Policy Conference in Brussels
RECHARGE, the leading European industry association for advanced rechargeable and lithium batteries, is gearing up for a highly anticipated milestone—the celebration of its 25th Anniversary. To mark this occasion, RECHARGE is organising a high-level policy conference on 26 October, titled ‘A Thriving European Batteries Ecosystem: Learning from the Past, Building a Sustainable and Competitive Future.’ This conference promises to be a pivotal event, bringing together industry leaders and top policymakers alike at TownHall Europe (Brussels) and online.
The conference will feature a keynote address by Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for Environment, Oceans, and Fisheries at the European Commission, followed by several panel discussions with speakers from RECHARGE member companies, European institutions, and national ministries.
At the heart of the conference are high-level policy discussions centred around shaping a sustainable and competitive future for European batteries. As the European Union strives to enhance its resilience and reduce dependencies in strategic value chains, this celebration is a momentous occasion to reflect not only on past achievements but also on addressing urgent tasks facing the upcoming European Commission. Participants will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the outline of the European battery industry’s manifesto.
In addition to thought-provoking sessions, the conference will offer numerous networking opportunities during coffee breaks and lunch, allowing participants to connect, collaborate, and celebrate 25 years of RECHARGE’s pioneering work in advancing innovation and industrial leadership.
The programme details, including session timings and topics, are available here.
