Mission

To act on our mission of promoting advanced rechargeable batteries as a core technology that will contribute to the industrial and social revolution towards a more empowered, sustainable and circular Europe, we put all our efforts in improving battery acceptance while ensuring an international level playing field that provides continued market access for new and existing rechargeable battery products. RECHARGE and our members stand for:

  • Environmental-friendly design, manufacturing and end-of-life management of rechargeable batteries
  • Sustainable involvement of the European batteries industry in waste management, recycling and best practices
  • Safe manufacturing, usage, storage and transport of rechargeable batteries

Our People

RECHARGE is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of elected representatives of our members. To best shape the strategic direction of our Association, every aspect of the European battery industry is represented. A small team of experts manages the daily operations of RECHARGE. Our way of working as well as our members-focused structure ensure that member companies have a real say in the short- and long-term development of the Association – and the European battery industry.
